In his role as Youth Choir Assistant Director, Caleb will contribute to the musical and artistic direction of RHP's newest ensemble.

Kathleen Murphy (they/them) is taking on the role of Choir Manager, and is also an Alto Choral Mentor. Kathleen is a mezzo-soprano and administrative professional who holds a Post-Bacc in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Manitoba. Currently, they are studying Business Administration (Financial Services) at Red River College Polytechnic, and are interested in exploring the intersection between the music, business, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. As a queer, non-binary individual, they are committed to inspiring social change in both their personal and professional life through music, collaboration, and community.

As Choir Manager, Kathleen will provide administrative and logistical support for RHP’s operations, in areas including general administration, concert and event production, communications and marketing, and fund development activities.

Kris Cahatol (he/they) joins RHP as a Soprano Choral Mentor, and is an explorer, learner, and admirer of all forms of art. He is currently in his final year of study at the University of Manitoba in Classical Voice Performance, with the hopes of pursuing further study in music therapy. Kris dreams of eventually creating his own inclusive studio for anyone wanting to learn, heal, and celebrate through music. Kris is also an avid performer in Winnipeg's theatre community and is one half of the musical duo, violent affection (@violentaffectionmusic). They look forward to building community and making music with RHP!

Aaron Hutton (he/him) is a new RHP Tenor Choral Mentor, and is one of the province’s most eclectic vocal artists. A versatile, award-winning performer with a résumé ranging from Baroque to Contemporary Musical Theatre, Aaron has become a sought after crossover vocalist. He has performed numerous times with Rainbow Stage, Manitoba Theatre Centre, and as a soloist with the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. Aaron has been singing in choirs since his youth and loves making music in collaboration with others.

Our new Choral Mentors will support all aspects of the artistic direction of the choir, including the planning, organization, and implementation of choir rehearsals, performances and events. We look forward to the musical leadership and unique skillset each Mentor brings to RHP!
